I got a call at me mum's landline from what sounded like a homeless charity, something called "catching lives" or similar, meant for the Canterbury area. It’s supposed to be an out-of-hours line where you can ring if you’re concerned about someone who looks like they’ve got no home, especially in bad weather. They offer a free bed for the night if the person agrees, though I guess it depends on whether there’s room. The weird thing is, they rang my mum because they’d confused her with someone connected to an old care home she once ran. Bit of a mix-up with their info, clearly.
