When they ring, just say you're happy they called 'cause there's this irritating whistle coming from your end. Then go ahead and whistle loudly right into the receiver. Usually, they’ve hung up before you even finish. It doesn’t really stop them from ringing back, but it’s kinda fun to do.

I’ve been getting calls from this number quite a bit. The first time, they claimed I was owed some cash and wanted my card info, but I just ended the call straight away. I’m not even with Talktalk anymore and I’m pretty sure I haven’t paid anything extra. Now they’re ringing me like 5 times daily, and I just don’t pick up. This number keeps ringing us non-stop. Every time we tell them they’re scammers, they just hang up straight away. We've blocked it now, so they can’t reach us anymore, but they’re still trying to ring us loads. Last Friday alone, they called 5 times, and they’ve already called once today as well.

Got a call today from someone called Jessica claiming my PC was hacked, she said she was from TalkTalk. I rang TalkTalk afterwards and they confirmed it was a total scam. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls like this from them, so I’m gonna block the number straight away. Proper dodgy!

This number keeps ringing me all the time. It’s clearly a call centre from abroad, so why does it show up as a UK number 01227 652387 on my phone? I’m thinking of contacting TalkTalk to get to the bottom of it. When I asked ‘Who’s calling, please?’ they just ended the call straight away. Then, when I tried calling back, all I got was a recorded message saying ‘This number is not in service.’ Proper strange!

Had the exact same thing happen to me, this lady with a foreign accent said she was from TalkTalk and said they needed my card info because they owed me a refund. She definitely knew I’d only just cancelled my account, which freaked me out a bit! I didn’t give her anything and eventually she just hung up. Then I called TalkTalk myself and they said it was definitely a scam and they’d never ask for sensitive details like that. Watch out folks!!!

On the 28th of Jan, 2015, I got a call telling me there was a problem with my internet line. I didn’t even bother and just hung up straight away ‘cos I wasn’t convinced it was from my actual provider.

Today, 29/1/15, I got a call from someone saying I’d been overcharged on last month’s TalkTalk bill. Like others, I questioned it and asked them to cancel the supposed extra charge. They insisted that because I pay by Direct Debit, it wasn’t possible to refund, which I knew was rubbish. When I asked for TalkTalk’s customer service number to double-check, the caller said it was against their rules and then called me a rude name before hanging up! Definitely a dodgy call and could trick others into giving personal info. I’ll be reporting this to TalkTalk straight away.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming we paid too much on our bill and asking for card info. I said if she’s really from TalkTalk, they’d already have my details. Now whenever I answer and she hears my American accent, the call just ends. They’ve been ringing me like four times daily!

So about a week back, on a Thursday, I got caught out by these fools. Fast forward to this Thursday and they ring me up again! Told them I’ve got a tablet, not a PC, and the scammer immediately binned the call. From now on, I’m sticking to replying on my tablet until I sort out blocking the number, cos it’s clear these scammers don’t know how to handle it when it’s a tablet.

I had a really similar thing happen, got a call from someone claiming to be from Talk Talk, said they needed my bank info to give me a refund for some extra charges on an international call. There was loads of noise in the background, sounded legit at first. But yeah, they kept grilling me for details about my card, made me realise it was some kind of scam. Honestly, what a bunch of muppets, hope they get stopped soon.

This number's been a right nightmare for us. They keep pretending to be from TalkTalk and want our bank info. When I said no, the caller got proper rude, calling me terrible names. It kicked off back in August and now we get over 10 nasty calls daily, once even got 25 calls in a single day! We told the cops, but because it’s coming from abroad and they’re switching networks, there’s nothing they can do. I just hang up as soon as I hear that voice, but the calls won’t stop and sometimes they even leave voicemail messages.
