It’s obvious this is a scam. They ring me every day, and whenever I block one number, they just use a different one. The script is always the same - a bloke or a woman claiming they’re from the company that supposedly covers my washing machine insurance. Every single time I tell them I don’t have any insurance, and they just cut me off straight away. Can’t imagine how they sleep at night, trying to trick someone dumb enough to fall for this nonsense.

I usually pick up but say nothing at all. Most times I just answer and shove the phone in my pocket, lettin them jabber away. If I’m not busy, I might even do some loud, weird breathing. If they wanna waste my time, I’ll make sure to do the same to them. Also, giving a sharp whistle is pretty hilarious - apparently it’s brutal to hear with headphones on. Go on, have a laugh with these dodgy scam callers and make em sit through it!

Received a call regarding some kind of protection plan for my washing machine, claiming it had lapsed and needed renewal for £7.60 a month. I declined the offer and ended the call immediately. Seems like a dodgy scam to me - definitely don’t share your debit card info! Pleased I didn't fall for it.

Just got a call about my washing machine insurance, they said since I’ve had it for 5 years without a claim, my payment was being dropped by £2.00. Then they asked if I still lived at my address, which I did, and if I wanted the money taken from my account. When I said yes, they asked me to confirm my sort code. I said they should already have it, but they said they needed to check with me. I told them I didn’t have the details on me and asked if they could ring me back when it was easier. Then I asked if they could send me a letter with all the info and they just hung up on me. Strange!

Someone called asking for me but got my title wrong straight away. I guessed it was dodgy when they mentioned something about washing machine insurance (which I don’t have). When I asked "what washing machine insurance?" they just ended the call. Such nuisance as I was just putting my grandad to bed and the phone disturbed him. I’ve blocked them now.

I got a call from this number asserting they provided insurance for my washing machine. They pretended to be from DAG over in Brighton, but their number was actually a Canterbury one! When I pressed them for more information, they mentioned I'd signed up for a maintenance contract for £11 at the start of each month. He just said he’d renew it straight away without asking if I wanted to. The moment I said nope, I’m not renewing, he just hung up on me. Tried calling the number back and it cut off straight away. Seems like a total scam to me.

Someone rang me saying they were from a company called ‘dag’ and claimed my washing machine insurance had run out, then asked for my bank details! I told them where to go immediately! They are trying to pass off as Domestic & General, which is a proper firm that actually does cover domestic appliances. I got in touch with Domestic & General and they said that number isn’t connected to them at all!
