When she requested my Date of Birth as a means of verifying my identity, I began to probe a bit (after all, she was the one who initiated the call, so I thought it only right to question her: you already know who I am and where I live, so which company are you representing?). He went on about how my bank had been dipping into my account for pennies over the years - a ridiculous amount of pennies, mind! He had my name, date of birth, and address down pat, but then he asked for my account number and sort code.
