I got a call from someone saying they represent the Manchester housing assoc and want to offer me compensation. Apparently, it’s because my own housing assoc hasn’t been sorting out the repairs properly. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Just got a call about a supposed maintenance contract for my Sky gear that apparently expired. They said renewing would set me back anywhere from £66 up to £99. I've never actually signed up for any maintenance plans on my devices, only ever had the free 5-year warranty that came with it when I bought it. Feels like a right scam to me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be with Sky maintenance, telling me my equipment contract needed renewing. I told them I wasn’t aware of any such thing, and they insisted it was part of my monthly charges. Absolute nonsense. When I asked who she thought she was ringing, she claimed to have all my info saved. So, I asked her to say my name to prove she was legit. Sure enough, they quickly just ended the call.

I got a call from this number saying my Sky maintenance cover was ending today. I said my partner usually takes care of things like that and he wasn’t around. The guy on the line insisted I was allowed to renew it myself, and if I didn’t pay £99 right away, it would mean breaking the contract and we’d be hit with a £120 charge.

some guy rang claiming to be from sky protect, saying i had to pay a whole year in advance. when i asked him to give me his bank details first, he started getting pushy. he warned me if i didn’t pay then and there, i’d get fined for missing the payment. i told him he was harassing me and called him out on it, then he just went quiet and hung up. watch out for this one!

i got a call saying something about sky maintenance, and as soon as i told them i was broke, they got really pushy. kept going on about some payment plan and said my sky account would be cancelled if i didn’t pay. i tried to end the call cause it was getting stressful but they just kept pushing. first i spoke to an indian lady, then a man with an indian accent called later on. quite annoying really.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded like he was stuck in some call centre, claiming to be from Sky TV maintenance. The number looked like it was from Canterbury, but my phone showed it as an international call, which was odd. I don't even have Sky anyway. He just said “alright, bye” and then hung up on me. Feels dodgy to me. A couple of days ago, I got a similar call from 01163182382 too.

There were some noises in the background before a woman quietly said ‘hello?’ We usually don’t pick up calls like that, but I hung on for a bit. She kept saying ‘hello? hello? is anyone listening?’ and then suddenly the call just ended. It was frustrating since we were actually waiting for a proper call.
