These lot rang me up and kicked off with an automated message claiming to be from HMRC, saying they’d tried to send me a letter but it got sent back, and accusing me of some “Criminal Damages” to my tax. Then they put me through to an actual person. Right away I knew it was dodgy because I heard loads of people chatting in the background like a call centre. I then asked for their service number - standard move when you get these calls. Normally, the scammers can’t answer and just hang up straight away, which they did this time too. Total waste of time, honestly.
