Got a call from someone pretending to be from Carphone Warehouse, telling me I don't need to pay for my phone anymore and then asking for loads of personal info. Problem is, I haven't used Carphone Warehouse for about four years now. Definitely don’t trust this number if it calls you - just hang up.

Since Friday, the number 01226822034 has been buzzing me non stop, asking for me by my name. I answered once but quickly hung up, didn’t wanna get drawn in. Got two calls earlier today, both times from people who sounded like they weren’t from around here. The first caller asked straight up for my dad by name, which was weird coz he passed away last year. I didn’t hang up long after that. Then the second caller tried saying they were calling from some “telephone preference service” but it was obvious they were making it up - the name they gave didn’t sound legit at all. We already signed up to stop cold calls ages ago but clearly, it does nothing since we keep getting annoying calls like these.

I'm getting about 8 dodgy calls every day from lots of different numbers. They seem to be clever, using UK local numbers to hide the fact they're calling from abroad, so blocking one number doesn't stop them. Honestly, it’s about time the phone companies and the government worked together to sort these scammers out once and for all. Track them down, freeze their numbers, and put a stop to it!

Within just an hour, I got a call from a woman who barely spoke English. She fumbled her way through reading from what sounded like a script. After listening to her, I said something like "By Kali herself, I curse thee," chuckled wickedly, and then just left the receiver off the hook for a bit.
