Got a call from this number earlier today, with loads of noise like a busy call centre. A bloke finally came on the line, sounded like he spoke with a French accent. Claimed he was phoning from BT about my internet. Honestly, I can't keep track of how many times I've had these calls. Told him no and ended the call straight away. I'll block this number now, but I bet a new one will pop up soon. These phone scams are really sketchy and annoying.

Every time I pick up and say hello, they just end the call straight away. So irritating and really disrespectful.

I got a call from a bloke saying he was with BT and he called me by my last name. He told me hackers had somehow broken into my internet. When I said I wasn’t convinced, he asked, “you don’t trust me?” then just hung up. Bit weird if you ask me.

I received a call that had a distinct Indian Asian twang, yet the chap introduced himself as John Shaw, which seemed rather Scottish to me. He purported to be from BT Openreach and insisted that my router was infected with a virus. He provided what he alleged to be my net licence ID number as some sort of proof. Then, he expressed a desire to access my computer. I, however, informed him that I wasn't in possession of a computer at that moment and promptly hung up the phone.
