I reckon this might be a dodgy call, seeing as I don't know anyone over in Barnsley. I decided not to pick up when it rang.

Got a call from some number claiming to be BT internet, but I don’t even use them. Said there was a problem, but I reckon it was just a scam.

Got a call from some supposed BT people, but it was obvious they weren't legit. Every time I asked where they were based, they kept mentioning the same address, 81 Newgate Street. They told me my computer was being hacked and sending info back to their servers, pushing me to interact with them. When I asked about his manager, the guy said it was Peter Parker. I joked if he meant Spider-Man and he said yes, then quickly changed it to Steve. After about five minutes of no progress, he just ended the call. These scammers really should be stopped.

I got a call this morning around 7:50 from a lady saying she was with BT. She told me my internet speed data wasn’t coming through properly and asked when I last tested it and if I had a PC. Something felt off, so I just ended the call.

here we go once more! some bloke named john, with a pretty thick accent, claimed to be from b.t. openreach. he was saying something like ‘we've noticed odd activity on your internet and i’m here to assist you with it.’ i put the phone down and let him ramble on. i mentioned early on that i would ring b.t. myself to verify the call. ‘oh no, i can fix this for you right now,’ he said, asking about the router’s light colour. he ended up hanging up after he twigged he was only talking to empty air.

Got a phone call from a guy who sounded Asian, asking if my btinternet was alright. When I didn’t answer, he just ended the call. Feels a bit dodgy, like a scam call maybe, because BT wouldn't just hang up like that.
