Yesterday, my phone rang but I couldn't get to it in time. Then, lo and behold, this morning I got another call which I decided to pick up. To my surprise, the caller started droning on about a car accident and claimed I could receive some sort of insurance payout. It was patently obvious that it was one of those scam calls.

This number just popped up on my missed calls and I'm pretty sure it's one of those accident advice scams. Seems like these calls all come from the same places and it’s super annoying because telling them to buzz off doesn’t really do much. I even tried ringing back to let them know to stop, but the number isn’t even valid when I call it. Proper frustrating!

my mother-in-law is 92 and they keep calling her pretending to be from open reach, threatening to disconnect her phone and internet. when she tells them she doesn't have internet and never has, they just hang up. but even after that, they don't stop ringing her again and again.
