When I picked up the phone, all I encountered was utter silence.

Got a call saying they were from O2, telling me I could get 25% off with no extra fees. Then they asked for a security code they supposedly sent to me by text. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call out of the blue from someone claiming to be O2, saying they had a 25% discount for loyal mobile users and that I’d get a gift too. They seemed to know a fair amount about me, so I nearly believed it was legit. But the chat just dragged on and felt a bit off, so I ended up hanging up. Then I rang O2 myself from my phone on 202, and they told me there was no such offer - turns out it was a scam.
