At precisely 09:43 on the 4th of March 2021, I received an automated call on my home phone. The chirpy voice claimed to be from BT, warning me that my line had been implicated in some nefarious hacking activities and that my internet service would be cut off the next day. To chat with a representative, it instructed me to press 1. Naturally, I ended the call there and then.

At about 9:43 in the morning on March 4th, 2021, I got a recorded message on my home phone claiming to be from BT. It said my internet service would get cut off the next day because my line was supposedly involved in hacking. They told me to press 1 to talk to an operator. I just ended the call right away.
