Got a call again today from the same lot, and they just wouldn’t accept a NO at all, kept threatening to phone back. I didn’t mince my words and gave them a quick two-word reply they deserved. Got a call from this number yet again! Same nonsense as usual. I said I don’t own a laptop and the bloke started shouting, telling me to get lost and calling me a STUPID WOMAN!!! This feels like proper harassment, surely something can be done? I live alone and get really nervous and scared to pick up since I don’t have caller ID - I’m on the TPS but they still keep ringing me.

On 25/01/2017, I got hit by the same bloke calling nonstop. They were really pushy, insisting they had to sort out some problem with my Windows computer. Told them a couple of times to stop calling, said they were just scammers, but they just said they’d keep ringing me round the clock. Yesterday I got a call but there was complete silence on the other end. I figured it was probably some sort of scam. What a nasty little scammer - got a call this morning claiming my computer was sending error alerts. He tried to get me to follow his steps on the PC. When I asked why and if he was really from Microsoft, he got quite rude. I hung up but then he rang back. Told him to get lost and called him a nasty little conman. I told him not to ring again but he kept calling saying he’d be calling all day and night. Reported it to my landline provider who blocked the number. Really worried about how they found my number since I’m ex-directory and on the TPS list.

Got a call from this number today, some bloke saying he was from “Windows support.” Bit odd as we don’t have any Windows computers here at the moment. Thought about messing with him a bit but ended up just telling him to bugger off and hanging up. He called back about five more times! Got some family to chat with him in different languages, which probably threw him right off. Hasn't called back since - so far! I’m planning to report him to my phone company and maybe the police, just to be safe.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Windows support team (yeah right - absolutely not!). The bloke was really rude, shouting and calling me names the whole time. Normally if I’m not busy, I mess about with these scammers and ask for stuff like my IP address (which they always have no clue about), would’ve been smart to say I’d just cleaned my windows like someone else mentioned, but this guy was way too pushy and aggressive. Ended up just hanging up. Had a thick Asian accent and the line was awful - definitely a complete scam.

This morning, the same number rang us again. My partner was pretty annoyed and asked why they were bothering so early, then just told them off and ended the call - we could tell it was one of those annoying scam calls. Not long after, the bloke called back and started being really rude. They never gave a name, just kept going on about the usual stuff like windows technical support or whatever.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, asking me to switch on my laptop and give them the serial number. After I hung up on them three times, they rang me back the same number of times! They got really nasty, shouting at me for not giving them any info, even called me a 'rude woman' and said I was 'angry'. Then they threatened to get into my computer remotely if I hung up again. Lucky for them, my computer’s locked down tight like a fortress!

Been getting calls from these lot, this is the 4th one in just a couple days. First a woman rang, when I told her it was a scam and I wasn't interested, a bloke rang back. Managed to block him but they kept calling and each time sounded more aggressive and threatening. If you were older or vulnerable, you'd honestly feel really intimidated and might just snap and turn your computer on to check who they are. Now he's warned he'll keep ringing me all hours. Curious to see what happens now!

You won’t believe it, but I had a really similar experience. I thought the caller was from Asia or something, but the number kept coming up as either unreachable or 01226490001. When I said I needed to double-check with Microsoft about what was going on, the guy started getting pretty nasty. I can totally understand why folks who aren’t tech-savvy end up falling for this.

Got a call from an Indian guy warning me about supposed viruses I'd picked up in the past few months. I instantly twigged it was a scam, so I messsed about, slowly "starting up my computer" while cheerfully firing off loads of questions like where he's calling from and why he’d ring on a public holiday (he said he wasn’t from a bank). Got a call today from someone who said his name was Mike. He claimed there was an issue with my computer. When I asked which computer, he said it was about my licence. I told him I was using my iPad and everything’s working fine. When he pushed and said he needed my password, he got annoyed and denied asking for it. When I asked for some proof he was with Microsoft, he suddenly said he wasn’t with Microsoft but just Windows. After a few minutes of arguing, I firmly told him to stop calling and that I’d be reporting him. He got quite annoyed and started shouting, so I told him to calm down and made it clear I would be reporting him.

Yet another so-called Windows cleaner ringing me up - a total pain, honestly. This bloke just wouldn’t get that my windows are the ones I see out of, not some computer thing, and that I get my mail the old-fashioned way by post, not email. some guy with an odd accent rang me up and asked me to hit the windows key plus r and tell him what showed up. i just messd with him, saying it must be cause of all the dodgy videos i watch. he didnt believe me and said i was fibbing. then i told him i use a mac, he sounded fed up and the call just dropped.

A guy with an English name, who sounded Asian, called me yesterday claiming he worked for Windows. He said that he suspected my computer was being used for some illegal stuff by strangers. He wanted me to go online so he could guide me through a process to fix it. I quickly told him that if he really thought something illegal was going on, he should report it to the Police. After a couple of tries to get me to activate something on my computer (which I refused), he got irritated, said I was wasting his time, and then just hung up.

I don’t usually pick up calls from withheld or overseas numbers, but since I was home and close to the phone, I answered one today. It was a withheld number calling about my Windows PC. I barely said anything, just kept her talking by asking her to explain the issue. When she told me she wanted me to log in to my computer, I got suspicious and asked if it was so she could grab my personal data - which she was kind of warning about without realising. We had a bit of a row over that, and she swore she hadn’t asked for any details. I ended the call, but the phone rang straight away with the same number, so I guess it was the same lot. Sometimes I enjoy messing with these callers if I’m in the mood, but it really annoys me when they ring my elderly mum who has dementia because it unsettles her badly.

I just got a call from an Asian woman claiming there’s an issue with my Windows laptop. I played along and said I don’t own any laptop, tablet or phone. Asked her then what computer she was even talking about. Kept asking silly questions about the device I supposedly had, sounding worried and confused. After a bit of this she just ended the call.

There’s this annoying bloke keeps phoning, going on about your computer having issues with the “Windows operating system”. This bloke’s calling himself David now, ringing me about some window stuff.. look mate, my windows were cleaned just last week, don’t need another cleaner. I grabbed my police whistle from the drawer and blew right into the phone - must’ve shattered his ears! He ended the call. Got a call from an Asian bloke who got really shouty when I said I wasn’t buying his story about an issue with my computer. He actually threatened to shut it down! Then he rang me back like SEVEN times in a row right after. Once it went to answerphone, he didn’t even bother leaving a message. Honestly, his aggressive tone was shocking. These calls came through at about 5:30pm on Tuesday, 29th November 2016. Also, the same number rang earlier today, but it was a woman this time - she hung up when I did and never called back.

Someone rang my 92 year old grandma who has dementia and was proper rude to her. I grabbed the phone and politely asked them to take her number off their list but the bloke just said NO and started shouting.
