I didn’t talk to whoever it was, just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from 01226375789, sounded like a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from the Telephone Preference Service. Seemed fishy to me since I doubt TPS would use calls that come off like scam attempts run by overseas operators. It just doesn't add up, so I asked him straight up where he was really from!

A bloke with an English accent called me, but he was so quiet I couldn’t make out what he was saying, so I just hung up. Oddly enough, he already knew my name.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Telephone Preference, saying they could block all the calls I didn’t want. When I asked for their address and more info, they said it was a scam. I told them I could prove it was, and then they just apologised and hung up.
