Somebody I dont recognise rang me from 01226 528869. No idea who it was.

dodgy call pretending to be from hsbc, said they were ringing me back about something to do with my card. problem is, ive got no account with them. decided to mess about a bit and see what they'd say next, but as soon as i told them they sounded dodgy and were clearly trying to scam me, they just cut the call. my phone showed the number coming from somewhere in barnsley.

My phone rang from this number but it stopped ringing before I picked up. When I tried calling it back from my landline, it just wouldn’t connect. Feels like it could be some kind of scam, doesn’t it? Had a pretty much identical experience.

Got a voicemail supposedly from HSBC, but I wasn’t sure if it was legit. So, I messaged HSBC on Twitter, and they confirmed it wasn’t a number they use. Definitely dodgy!
