Got a couple of calls today claiming to be from BT or Openreach about some suspicious activity on our internet. First call I tried to pass to my husband but it was dropped right away. Every single morning I get calls from people pretending to be BT, but they have these English names like Claire or Angela, though you can tell they're actually Indian. I usually mess around a bit with them then tell them to buzz off. They always call again the next day, so they're definitely not the best at their job. One time I irritated one so much, she called back and started shouting at me in Hindi, which weirdly made me laugh.

Got a call from what sounded like a BT scammer on a Saturday morning - pretty sure their clocks haven't changed for daylight saving. Oddly, they always seem to be of Asian background and try to pass themselves off with English names.

Got a call at 7.26 in the morning but no one spoke, just ended up waking us. This has been going on for ages and really needs to be stopped. I wouldn’t recommend calling back either, who knows how much that might cost? Had calls like this before from folks pretending to be Microsoft, warning about some deadly virus attacking my computer. I asked which computer exactly, as I own 57 of them. They seemed shocked, saying “57 computers?” and I just replied, “Yeah, people call me Heinz.”

So fed up with calls from BT Openreach lately. They rang asking about my internet speed, and I was quite shocked when I told them. Even after that, they wanted me to turn on my computer. Seemed friendly at first, but when I clearly wasn’t interested, they started to get a bit grumpy. Bloody nerve ringing me at 7.20 in the morning too. Isn’t there some rule stopping people from pretending to be Openreach? How do these fraudsters even get phone numbers to use?

Anyway, here’s what happened: I got a call on my landline on a Saturday arvo. I was just chilling, not asking for any calls. The person on the other end says, “I’m calling about your internet.” So naturally, I asked nicely what that was about, and she told me to “get off the phone” - mind you, she was the one who rang me. Then she went and called me a “bitch” before just hanging up. Top-notch manners. Best bet is just to hang up on them or report straight away 🤦🏽‍♀️😂
