I received a rather suspicious call just a moment ago from someone claiming to be from Windows, introducing himself as Kevin Patel. He proceeded to rattle off a lengthy number, insisting it was linked to my computer, which apparently has fallen victim to malware. He instructed me to sit down in front of my computer to confirm this alarming news. I can’t say I’m the trusting sort, so I probed him about the name under which my computer is registered. Rather bizarrely, he provided a name I didn’t recognise at all. Naturally, I expressed my doubts, and just like that, the conversation was cut short as he hung up. Quite the dodgy encounter, if you ask me!
