The strangest thing is that right after each call, my internet always drops out for a few minutes, no matter if I pick up or let it ring. It's so odd and annoying!

Got a call from someone who sounded like they were calling from abroad and said they represented the Telephone Preference Service. Just so you know, once you sign up with the Telephone Preference Service (if you choose to) it’s free and your details stay registered for good. They shouldn’t be ringing you after that. I didn’t really get into a chat with this person, but from what I’ve seen before, they usually try to get you to pay, either to keep the supposedly free service going or to get some sort of “premium” version. I’d steer clear of handing over any money.

Today alone I’ve had half a dozen rings from this number. Picked up two times and got a lady speaking with a foreign accent, saying she was from the Telephone Preference Service - which I’m pretty sure is a load of rubbish. Every time I told her to stop calling but it’s still coming through. Earlier on, a bloke from a close number, 01226 157856, gave me a similar spiel. I told him off as well and told him not to bother ringing back.

Today I got called seven times in just a few hours, and that’s not even counting the calls from earlier. I didn’t answer any because I’d already read the reviews here and knew what to expect. The final call kept switching between showing a number and saying “Unavailable” on my screen! How is it that these annoying calls keep going on with no way to stop them? Such a pain!

My mum's 88 and she’s had enough of these scam calls constantly bothering her. I told her to just say "SCAM" repeatedly when they ring, hoping they’d take the hint and leave her alone.
