I got a recorded call telling me I had paid £600 to some place overseas. Then they warned me that my debit card would be frozen if I didn’t respond. As soon as I heard that, I just ended the call!

Got a robotic call saying there’s been some payment overseas on my card and if I don’t reply my card will get blocked. Sounds like a total scam to me.

My elderly mum, who’s 80, got the exact same call earlier this afternoon on her Dundee landline. When they spoke about "sending £600 overseas," she just ended the call straight away. I guess she’s learnt well from past warnings! As she put it, "They’re up to no good and won’t stop trying!" Such a horrible scam this is.
