I received an uninvited call from a number that seemed to belong to a Bath landline. The individual on the other end had a thick South Asian accent and pretended to be representing EE, discussing some offer on a new mobile device. The thing is, they didn’t even know my name, and I’m not on a contract, nor am I a customer of EE. It was quite clear to me that this was just a scam.

I got a call from this number saying it was from Bath, but the voice had a strong South Asian accent. They never used my name and said they were from EE trying to sell me a new phone deal. But I don’t even use EE, I own my phone outright, so I could tell it was a scam right away.
