A bloke rang me saying he was from Microsoft, but honestly, I couldn’t make out what he was on about, so I just hung up straight away. Then another fella called saying he’s from Microsoft too and claimed he’d sent me some alerts warning that someone’s been tracking me and messing with my IP address and serial number. I told him flat out it’s a scam and that I needed to have my brekkie. He said he’d ring back in half an hour and wanted me to be close to my computer so he could guide me. I just ignored the follow-up calls after that.

So this person rings me up talking about some TV insurance I supposedly bought last year for £120 - which I don’t have or ever signed up for. They kept pushing that I’d already paid, but it felt like a proper scam, just trying to get hold of my bank info.

I received a call from this chap who had such a thick accent that I couldn't make out a single word! To complicate matters, the call quality was dreadful. I ended up disconnecting the call in frustration. That same number rang me three additional times, but I ignored them all and finally decided to block it altogether.
