I just received a call on my mobile, but I decided not to pick up since I don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. After seeing the feedback on this site, I went ahead and blocked the number.

Received a call from this number while I was in the middle of a conversation on my mobile. It's the first time I've encountered this number, so it seemed like just another unsolicited call.

Beware of a con artist pretending to be a phone retailer. They resorted to foul language during our exchange. Proceed with caution!

I received a rather dubious call from an individual sporting a strong Indian accent, who claimed to represent BT's call-blocking service. They addressed me by name and informed me that they would be putting a stop to all unwanted calls the following day. Naturally, when they requested my card information, I declined and promptly hung up. Just felt rather suspicious, to say the least!

This morning, I happened to miss three calls from this number, but I finally picked up the fourth one around half twelve. The caller claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service, talking about blocking options. I mentioned that I was already with BT for blocking, so I wasn't particularly keen on chatting further, and hung up rather promptly. They've since been added to my blocked list!
