Received an unusual call about my debit card being used overseas, but they didn’t say who was on the line. Quite mysterious, don’t you think?

I received a rather alarming call purporting that my credit card had been used overseas. Interestingly, I've had this same call three times now, each from a different number. I've gone ahead and blocked all of them to avoid any further hassle!

I picked up a call from 01225535001 only to be met with silence on the other end. After a minute of this awkwardness, the line just went dead.

The call blocker prevented that pesky number from getting through. I noticed it on my call log, and I’m definitely going to put a stop to it now. I've seen the warnings about this lot; I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to ring me again, just tweaking the digits ever so slightly.

A representative from a lifestyle brand attempted to pose three questions to me, but when I declined to respond, a rather discourteous gentleman with an Indian accent abruptly ended the call.

Received a call from a woman with an Asian accent, claiming to be from some sort of service. I promptly informed her that she’d reached the North Yorkshire police. She hung up almost instantly. Clearly just another scam attempt!
