Got a call from someone claiming to be a BT engineer about an issue on my line. The voice and busy noise in the background sounded like a call centre, probably somewhere like Bangalore. When I mentioned there was actually a BT engineer knocking on my door, the caller got really uneasy and almost pleaded with me not to open it, saying the guy outside was a fake. Classic scam move - best to block them, report, and just ignore altogether.
