On the second call, I flipped it and asked them what phone they had and who made it. They kept talking until I told them I could sort them a new phone, then they cut me off and hung up!

dodgy amazon prime scam, absolute waste of time calling me. ive had probably well over 100 unwanted calls from this so called company using loads of different numbers since the covid lockdown kicked off on monday 23rd march 2020 and they say its from the uk (total lie!), the phone didnt even ring but it showed up on my b.t. security page so ive blocked the number now, fingers crossed any future calls go straight to my voicemail junk folder. hoping for some quiet evenings without them pestering me again!!

However, according to the information available on the Amazon website, they never reach out to customers directly like this, nor do they solicit payments over the phone. I've taken the liberty of reporting this to Police Scotland through their non-emergency number, 101.

01225446958 Not some robo message, it was a proper phone call. Like others have said here, bloke with an Indian or Pakistani accent claimed my account was up for renewal and I needed to pay £79.99. I told him I don’t have any account with them. Then a "senior" person rings me back and tries to get me to let them access my computer remotely. After that, they started ranting and suddenly hung up. Later, same number called from a private line and the guy called me a mother... something. Honestly, be careful, it gets pretty upsetting and rude.
