I had a call from a woman who spoke with a distinct Liverpool accent. She mentioned her name, but to be honest, it went over my head. She’s associated with the RNIB and is looking to sell raffle tickets, something I used to dabble in myself. Additionally, she was keen on getting me enrolled in their monthly draw, which requires a set payment each time. Despite the sales angle, she was quite charming and said she'd follow up after I’ve had a moment to mull it over. I've actually received two books of raffle tickets from them now. Seems like a genuine outreach rather than anything dodgy.
