Received a dodgy call regarding some supposed unauthorised transactions for international money transfers. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

Someone called me, inquired about my name, and then abruptly cut the line.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be called Dennis Riley, representing a housing repair scheme. I immediately suspected it was a scam, so I expressed my concerns. They escalated my call to a manager, and when I questioned him about why they were contacting strangers like me, he launched into a tirade in a language that made no sense to me at all. Not only that, but he became quite disrespectful and offensive as well. Rather uncouth, if you ask me!

They struggled to say my name correctly. It was clear they were just reading off some notes.

The line went dead after a mere ten seconds of silence. This was the first time I received a call from this dodgy number. Definitely a scam!

I chose not to pick up the call since I don’t recognise anyone in Bath, which made me suspect it was a dodgy attempt. So, I decided to check it out here, and I’ll be sure to block that number.

I swiftly turned down the call and put it on my blocked list to steer clear of what was undoubtedly a spam or scam attempt. Seeing as I don't know a soul in Bath, I simply can't fathom why anyone from that area would be ringing me, unless they were out to create trouble with some dodgy marketing pitch or scam.
