Somebody rang up saying they were from TalkTalk, telling me my internet was hacked. They warned me they’d cut off my connection if I didn’t follow their instructions!

Got a robotic female voice warning me that my service would get cut off today. Thing is, my number’s never been listed anywhere and I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) to block these kinds of calls. Talk Talk, any idea how these fraudsters managed to find my number and what steps are you taking to stop this happening again?

I didn't pick up since I had no idea who it was. Felt like it might’ve been a dodgy scam.

Got a call earlier from a recorded female voice saying she was from BT. She told me my internet was at risk and said they’d have to cut it off. I just let the message play out until it stopped on its own.
