They pretended to be from the national fraud squad or something similar. Honestly, watch out for these lot, they’re proper nasty trying to scam folks.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon trying to scam me, wasn't buying it one bit. Beware, they’re definitely up to no good.

Got a call from someone saying they were Brian O’Connor, but sounded like they had a very strong Indian accent. They said an iPhone had been bought and asked if that was right. They gave some employee number, 400456, and an address - 60 Holborn Viaduct - maybe to sound legit. Luckily my dad, who’s pretty old, decided to end the call and double-check with me first. I reckon if he’d stayed on the phone, they’d have tried to get his bank info to ‘refund’ the money.
