CMC are trying their luck by assuming you might've had an accident. Obviously, if you have, the chat would go one way, but if you haven't, it'll be completely different. Got a phone call earlier about a car crash injury that I have absolutely no connection with. I told them that straight away. Then they asked if I happened to know anyone hurt in a car accident. I told them cold calling for these injury claims is against the law and asked where they’d got my number from. The person sounded a bit lost and said they’d pulled my details from some database saying I’d been in an accident - but that’s totally untrue. So, I let them know I’d report them to the Ministry of Justice if they didn’t stop. They hung up quite quickly after that. I doubt they’ll be bothering me again! Funny enough, if only they’d known I’m actually working for a law firm... didn’t catch the name of their company though.
