I've been inundated with calls from this number over the last few weeks, ringing me multiple times daily. Occasionally, there's an actual person on the line, but more often than not, it's some sort of automated voice blaring on about how my BT internet is under threat of hacking! It's starting to feel quite bothersome. I tend to steer clear of engaging with calls from anyone outside my circle of family and friends, especially when it comes to inquiries or purchases, but these interruptions from the aforementioned number are especially irritating-especially when I'm waiting for something crucial to come through!

This number keeps ringing me a few times, mostly early in the morning. I got like four calls today alone, so I decided to call back and played my loud [###] alarm for a bit. It’s proper noisy. Got a call at 11:30 am from 01224 980036 but I didnt pick up since the number looked unfamiliar. After, there was a rude voicemail warning about our internet being cut off and telling us to ring back straight away. Also, my laptop popped up with a weird, interrupted message that seemed like a scam, so I ignored it. The accent on the voicemail sounded like it might be from South Asia, maybe Pakistani or Indian, but I’m worried some folks might get tricked by how pushy they are. They said they needed to stop things to avoid more criminal stuff, but I’m not convinced.

I received an automated phone call at 7:45 this morning. It was a blatant scam claiming my internet was about to be disconnected. To be honest, the robotic voice was so garbled that I could hardly understand a word! It’s particularly frustrating since I have elderly relatives in Aberdeen. 01224 900036 is a scam from India, they try to get your personal info and then ask about your bank details. They’ve made it seem like a UK number but it's actually based in India, total scam. They always use English names but speak with a strong South Asian accent, and get quite rude if you question where they got your number. Just BLOCK them, even if you need to pay for something like Call Guardian. Our government really needs to do more about stopping these scammers and shut their phones down. K

If you happen to own an iPhone, there’s a handy little feature that allows you to block calls. Just head over to Settings, then tap on Phone, and you’ll find the option for Blocking. However, there’s a little prep work involved-you’ll need to save the troublesome numbers with a name, like PEST1, PEST2, and so on (I’ve got it going up to 36 with various nuisances at the moment). Once that's sorted, you can navigate back to Blocked Contacts and simply select PEST1 and friends to put a stop to those pesky calls. Hope this proves useful! Cheers, K41

Put a block on this number back in August, after needing to get Call Guardian app. I look at my call log every day and they keep calling - I know they can't get through but seriously, why aren't the TPS or ICO sorting this out? Thank goodness for websites like this, it's good to know I'm not the only one dealing with it. I've blocked about 35 of these nuisance callers now. Got 6 calls in just 4 hours. Luckily I got Call Guardian on my phone so they get blocked straight away and never ring through. Just shows up on my phone that a call tried but no luck for them. Hope they stop bothering soon.

Yet again, as echoed in previous comments, I’ve received multiple calls from this number in the past three days. I’ve either been out and about or simply haven’t felt inclined to answer. I’ve already dealt with UK Lifestyles bothering me back in June and July of '16.

I’m thoroughly fed up with these persistent calls, ringing me multiple times a day. I’ve made it clear to the caller that my number should be taken off their list and to stop bothering me, yet they ignore my requests. I've even warned them that cold calling is against the law and that I’m prepared to report them if this harassment doesn’t cease. It seems my words have no impact, as the calls just keep on coming.

I rang OFCOM about this too but couldn’t get through. Had about 10 silent calls today which is really annoying. If loads of people report them, OFCOM might actually do something, as there’s a £2 million fine for these types of calls. They probably think they’re untouchable. I’m thinking of buying a cheap whistle or something to try and scare them off. Fingers crossed it works, one day at a time I guess! Haha

They keep asking for someone else who once foolishly handed over their details to one of these rip-off firms claiming to sort out PPI claims (not me at all). Told this muppet loads of times I’m not interested in his survey. Finally, I went off on him down the phone, told him plain and clear I don’t want any questions, and to stop calling me already!

Landline number 01224980036 called me twice in less than an hour. I ignored the first ring but when the same number showed again, I figured I better pick up. A woman spoke, not with a Scottish accent, and called me by my first name. I told her she must have got the wrong person, then she asked if I was related to the person she wanted. I said no, so she wanted to know who I was. When I asked her who she was, she just ended the call!

It’s the same nonsense every single day, about six calls from this “UK Lifestyle” lot. I tell them nicely I’m not interested and ask them to take me off their list, but the so-called UK Lifestyle bloke - always an Asian guy with a very British name - just ends the call.
