Got a phone call at work today from a lady with an Indian accent, asking about our BT Openreach connection. I explained we don’t use BT for our line. She then said she wasn’t actually calling from BT. I told her it makes no difference who she’s with, we definitely don’t have a BT Openreach line so there’s no point discussing it. After that, she simply said, "Oh right, gotcha. Thanks. Goodbye." Could’ve been some sort of scam, but I have to admit she was quite courteous about it.

At about 1 in the afternoon today, my coworker picked up a call from this number. The bloke on the line had an Indian accent, and my mate cheekily told him he sounded like total spam. The guy didn’t seem bothered at all, which made us have a laugh with it. Our office’s not big, only like 10 of us, so everyone joined in. We kept confusing him with mixed messages, dragging him out for a good 10 minutes and stopping him bothering anyone else. He said something about “Rapido Banking,” whatever that is. Pretty good fun!

Had a call on Friday the 9th around 3.30 in the afternoon. The person somehow knew my name and asked if I’m still getting loads of nuisance calls - what a daft question that was! I said yeah, and that this was just another one of them, so tell them to jog on and not bother me again! Then I just ended the call.

He kept telling me I had allowed them to keep my number "when I set up my landline," but couldn’t say exactly when that was. When I mentioned GDPR, he had no clue what I was talking about.

Got a call from some bloke sounding like he was from India or Pakistan, but the line was so rubbish I only caught a couple of seconds before he just hung up. Normally, I wouldn't pick up unknown numbers at all these days, but since I work in Aberdeen and the number started with 01224, I thought it might be important. On 10th November 2018 at about 1.29pm, I got a call from this number saying they were from the Telephone Preference Service and wanted to offer an upgrade. It sounded fishy straight away so I didn’t share any details. They tried pushing for some personal info, but I’m not daft enough to hand that out on a call. Honestly, the way they were speaking was quite forceful, like they expected me to answer right away. Feels like a risky scam where folks might get pressured into giving stuff they shouldn’t.
