The caller claimed to be from The Times and somehow already had my full details - name, phone number and address included. They were quizzing me on stuff like my fridge brand, my age group, how many children I have, and even offered a free copy of some home magazine or something. Felt a bit weird to be honest.

Got a call from UK Choice, and they already knew my full name and address. They said it was for a survey, but when I asked where they found my number, the person just hung up. Then, about half an hour later, another chap rang me, again knowing my details, and said it wasn’t a sales call. When I questioned how they got my number, he cut me off and ended the call. Very odd behaviour.

Had a robocall telling me there was a payment of £1100 about to go through. They said to hit 1 if I wanted to approve it or 2 to chat with someone. Total rubbish, so I just blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from a robotic woman saying that my card was used for £1100 at a mall and to press 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. I figured it was dodgy and didn’t want to press anything. I kept the line open to see what would go on but the call just ended. I’ve now put a block on that number.

Got a weird ring from someone claiming to be from Amazon or something. So I said I was running a chat line and asked if they fancied talking to a male or female teacher, cheeky schoolgirl, nun, dominatrix, you name it. Then I asked them for their credit card info for a proper bargain: £65 for 20 minutes. They just cut me off straight away! Can you believe it - they hung up on me! I’m tight and just messing about for fun, but seriously, watch out for these calls.

I got a call on my phone from a number in Aberdeen claiming to be from Amazon, saying I’d bought something for £1000? I hung up straight away. Then I tried calling the number back from another phone, but it just didn’t connect. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. Feels like this caller could be up to no good with money, so best to be careful.

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from Amazon. She said someone had bought an iPhone using my Amazon account. She offered to cancel the order if it wasn’t me. But she wouldn’t give me her staff ID or even tell me her name.

Got loads of calls from this number, so I looked it up on here and just blocked it straight away. My tip? If you don’t recognise a number, just ignore it for a bit and then have a look it up yourself. If it’s legit, you can ring back, or if it’s really important, they’ll ring you again. Don’t fall for these dodgy calls! If the number’s fishy, just block it!

I received a call from someone who pretended to be from Amazon Customer Service, saying they were following up on a supposed order of £300 that I had never made. I promptly hung up and reported the incident to the Telephone Preference Service, as I've not placed any orders lately. It definitely sounded like a scam!

some person called me saying they were from amazon customer support, checking on a purchase i supposedly made. problem is, i dont even have an amazon account so theres no way they could know my number or anything. when i picked up, there was this weird lag like it was coming in from abroad. the woman on the line spoke with what sounded like an indian or pakistani accent, which was odd since the call somehow came through aberdeen? dont know how that works. i just ended the call and slapped a block on the number.
