This is definitely a fake Royal Mail scam. I got a call and then an email saying something like: They said a parcel with my info was sent back to their depot. Ref: FL79500314GB Date: 24/08/21 Location Royal Mail Depot Total: £1.55 They claim the parcel is at their warehouse and I need to pay £1.55 upfront. They tell you to contact them for more details but it’s just a trick. Ignore it and don’t click any links!

Got a call from a woman with a European accent who knew my name, saying she was from Royal Mail. She told me I had a parcel waiting in London but it was missing a stamp, and asked for my email so they could send me details on how to get it. I then asked if I could just pick it up from the sorting office and pay there, but they insisted I had to go all the way to London, pay them, and then the parcel would be sent the next day. When I asked for a phone number to ring back and pay properly, they said Royal Mail don’t share that info. I told them I wasn’t expecting any parcel and didn’t want to risk being scammed, so I hung up.
