So, at the end of August I told this insurance claim firm to take me off their list on the first call. Fast forward 10 more calls and they still haven’t stopped ringing me. Guess I had no choice but to block them in the end.

Got a call tonight from this number, which I didn’t recognise at first but I picked up since 01224 is a local area code (how these scumbags manage to use local numbers, I’ll never get). A woman said she was checking up on me about a “car accident” I supposedly had last year. I told her straight up I’ve never even owned a car, only a motorbike - but didn’t bother telling her that part. She then got all annoyed and kept insisting it must have been someone in my family involved in the crash. I told her no way, none of my family has been in any accident recently, and chuckled a bit. Then she just hung up. Folks like this should find honest work instead of pestering people and causing stress. Anyway, this number is definitely dodgy and those calling are just low down. Blocked it now.

A persistent woman kept ringing me, which was really irritating. She kept asking if someone in my family had been in an accident, and wondered who else it could be if not me. I asked how they even got my details. I told her I wasn’t interested and told her not to get in touch again.

I ended up blocking it, but my phone still shows a notification whenever they attempt a call.

Got a call on my mobile earlier from someone claiming I’d been in a car crash back in 2014, saying another driver hit me from behind. I told them they were mistaken, as nothing like that ever happened to me. The bloke then got quite aggressive, even shouting and using my first name, which freaked me out a bit. No idea how they got the area code though, because the guy’s accent definitely didn’t sound Scottish or English.
