Today, at about 2.19pm on Thursday, 29th August, I got a call from this number (01224 852283). A woman with a posh accent said she was from bank security, warning me about two dodgy transactions on my card. She mentioned one was from Amazon, but I didn’t catch where the other was from. This is the same scam call I’ve had loads of times, from different UK places. It’s definitely a bank scam. Just a heads up for everyone: if you get this, hang up straight away and use Call Protect to block them.
