Got a call from someone claiming to be Brian from Open Reach, said it was about my internet. There was loads of noise in the background, so I asked who he was trying to reach. Then he just went quiet for a bit and suddenly ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now.

Sounds dodgy, likely some scammers trying their luck.

As soon as I answered the phone, they hung up straight away. Could’ve been a misdial, but most times it’s one of those robocalls from some scam call centre where no one’s actually ready to chat. I’d say be wary about it.

The caller had a really odd voice and I could hear what seemed like people laughing in an office behind them, but I couldn’t make out who they were or what they wanted.
