I got this automated call claiming there were two unusual charges on my card, but they never said who they were or which card they meant. It sounded dodgy, so I hung up straight away without pressing any buttons.

Got a call from this number, but the moment I picked up, the line went dead. I’m guessing - and it’s just a guess, mind you - that it might be one of those spam calls, maybe faking a real number or something like that.

Spent the whole day out and came back to loads of messages from this number on my answerphone. They kept asking who I was and why I'd called, but never said a word about themselves or the reason they were ringing. It’s not the first time I’ve had calls like this either. Both me and my partner are retired, and these kinds of calls really make us wary of picking up the phone. We've now decided to cut the line off altogether!
