Got a call on me mum’s phone from Eco Green, Aberdeen number. I told them it was sheltered housing and to take her off their list. The woman was really cheeky, saying “there’s such a thing as please.” I was fuming she didn’t understand how upsetting that could be if my elderly mum, who gets confused easy, had picked up. I asked for her name and she just hung up. Tried ringing the number back but it said it wasn’t recognised. So they’re allowed to ring but you can’t ring them back? What kind of business is that? Definitely one to avoid at all costs.

This company says they’re called Eco Green and they use a number with an Aberdeen area code, but they’re definitely not actually in Aberdeen (I live here so I know). The people calling have an accent that sounds more like central Scotland. They’re basically faking the area code to hide where their call centre actually is in the UK. They’re also ringing numbers that are registered with the TPS, which is illegal too. You can’t really trust these lot to play by the rules. Best steer clear of them completely.
