No reply when I tried to ring. Called them quite late last night and got a message saying I’d dialled the wrong number. After seeing what people wrote here, I’ve blocked the number on my phone now.

I got a call from a guy in India, and when I asked him to remove my number from their list, he said he couldn’t do that and that someone would keep ringing me. I insisted that since I asked, he should take me off. He kept saying no and kept going on about some unsecured debts on my credit report. When I asked where he got my info, he refused to say. I told him to stop calling or I’d report him for harassment. His answer was ‘bring it on then’. I told him I wasn’t wasting my time on this nonsense and hung up.

Got a call from Aberdeen claiming to be from Edinburgh High Court Enforcement about some ccj. I've never had one! Then the guy said it was to do with my debts. I just ended the call and blocked the number. I ain't got any debts. The bloke had an Asian accent. Feels like a scam, maybe they’ve got hold of Equifax info like I read in the news. Best to ignore.

Avoid this number, some Asian bloke claimed he was from UK DEBT ADVISE but there’s no company like that listed in Aberdeen. Seems like a scam to me, no idea what they're after but I’ve blocked them. Could seriously risk your money.

Got a call from some bloke calling himself Gary Munro, claiming to be from Citizens Advice - yeah, right! Obviously, a complete scam, so he's blocked now!

The caller claimed to be from Citizens Advice Bureau, doing some kind of investigation. I told them to take my number off their list and said I’d be reporting the unwanted call, then hung up. That number rang me another 4 times before I managed to block it. They also called me last week, and somehow they had my first name.

Got a call from an Asian sounding bloke who called himself FRANK. Told him that wasn’t really a name you’d expect from an Asian. He rang me twice yesterday on 01224506978 and once again today on 07581347423. I told him I’m on the TPS but he said it doesn’t count as he’s calling for the government’s Credit Investigation Department, apparently linked to something called Debts Resolution Forum. Asked him to take my details off their list but he was really rude about it. When I mentioned his accent, he claimed he was Scottish!

01224 506 978 This guy, called himself Iqbal Khan, phoned me sayin' he wanted to refund some money I’d paid at a famous shop startin’ with a W. I asked how much, and he said £237.45, but here's the thing - I don’t shop there, never have. Plus, if I did, there’s no way I’d spend that much in one go, 'cause I’m pretty tight with my cash, LOL. So, I gave him a fake account number and a bogus sort code from the National Bank of Nonsense, then told him to piss off. What a muppet!

I received a rather dodgy call claiming to be from the Office of Fair Trading, insisting they had my credit report due to some so-called unsecured debts I allegedly owe. They even went on about how I could potentially have them wiped clean. Naturally, I pressed for a detailed list of these supposed debts, but guess what? The bloke could only provide me with the barest of details. Quite amusing, really, considering I don't have any unsecured debts and my credit file is password protected! This whole thing screams scam! Whatever you do, don’t divulge any personal financial information to them-it’s a right con!

Earlier today, I received a couple of calls on my mobile. The first one came through at 12:46 but I couldn’t pick it up, so it turned into a missed call. Then, just a bit later at 1:26, he rang again and I decided to answer. He introduced himself as being from Citizens Advice and began prattling on about debts. I quickly interrupted him, curious about how he acquired my number since I never engage in phone transactions. His explanation left much to be desired, so I informed him that I’d be lodging a complaint and hung up. Just thought I’d share this experience in case it’s of any assistance to others.

Got a call earlier from a bloke with an Asian accent, claiming he was from Citizens Advice Bureau. When I asked why they were ringing my mobile, he lost it and started shouting, "You owe money, you better pay up!" I wasn’t having any of it, told him to shove off and ended the call. Blocked the number straight away. I'd recommend you do the same, mate.

They wanted to chat with one of my gaming personas, “mr pothead” haha. I hung up before he tried selling anything to “mr pothead”. If he can’t be bothered to pay for a proper verified phone list, I doubt he’s legit! Plus, my number’s on the TPS list, so much for that doing any good!

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Citizen Advice, they knew my name and said they could assist with my debts. But the moment I told them I had no debts, they just cut off. It’s really upsetting to think older people might fall for this sort of scam.

Some guy with an Indian accent claimed he was from the CAB legal team and wanted to speak to me by name. I asked where their office was and he said Manchester. Then I asked why he was calling from an Aberdeen number and he hung up! Totally a scam. Don’t give them any info, it’s an off-shore scam trying to rip you off. My iPhone is useful because it shows where the call’s from and you can block them. I’ll be reporting them to trading standards and you should too!

some bloke with an indian accent was muttering something about credit help, but he was really hard to understand. i told him off, saying he shouldn't be ringing because im on the tps list, then he just hung up. same guy called twice yesterday, claiming to be from citizens advice about debts or something. i told him he’s got the wrong number and to take me off his list. the number yesterday was 07526147194. after i told him to stop bothering me, he rang again! ive gone ahead and blocked the number now!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was James from Citizens Advice, telling me I had loads of debt. When I mentioned I worked in finance, he got all annoyed and demanded why my name was on his list. I said it wasn’t, then asked him again for his name - suddenly he switched from James to some Rajarafan or something. I just said nicely to buzz off and ended the call.

Got a call from 01224 506978 on 15th September at 11:33. The bloke was going on about some ‘credit crime’ but kept talking over me the whole time. I asked for his name but he mumbled so I couldn't catch it. When I said I didn’t understand and asked him to say it again, he just told me to ‘get lost’ and hung up. Can you believe it? Getting treated like that in my own home. I want to make a complaint but have no idea who to contact. I’m from Hampshire and the call was from Scotland.

they started with ‘good evening’ but i told them ‘good afternoon’ since it was just gone 1pm. they wanted to speak to me by name so i asked who was calling, then they just hung up. i tried ringing back and got a message saying ‘you've reached a wrong number’. total scammers - not blaming the caller but i really wanna mess up the company boss’s day!

Got a call from “nationwide” even tho i’ve never had an account there. They wanted me to confirm my name and postcode. Watch out for this number and just ignore it!
