Had this bloke calling from what sounded like some dodgy car phone place, so I started quoting the G-Man’s spiel from Half Life 2 outta nowhere. Next thing, he just shuts right up, proper silent for like a good few minutes. I reckon I totally threw him off or glitched his system or something.

I told him I didn’t believe he was really from Aviva Insurance and he started threatening to chop my head off! After that, he also threw some awful homophobic insults my way. I've reported everything to the police now.

I’ve blocked them now, was getting really annoying with all those calls where no one even talks.

No caller ID showed up, but they ring me on my mobile - usually it’s my landline and it says ‘private number’. There was silence on the other end until I was about to end the call, then a woman’s voice came on, all recorded, simply saying ‘goodbye’. These calls are just getting out of hand! Both my home and mobile numbers are signed up with the TPS, yet I still get loads of these every single day. Honestly, it’s high time the government stepped in and put an end to these scams!
