It was definitely a dodgy call. I could barely decipher what she was on about, but I did catch mention of Carphone Warehouse and the term 'contract' creeping in. I swiftly replied with a polite but firm decline, and then promptly ended the conversation and added the number to my blocked list.

Just had a call about five minutes back from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. They were quite keen on selling me some 'unbelievable' phone offers that would supposedly defy all contract rules. They insisted that if I made the switch right now, they would magically terminate my existing phone contract without any charges, and to top it off, my new deal would be a whopping £20 less! The chap was rambling on at a fair rate, quite pushy, and kept asking for my bank details. I’ve got to say, it smells utterly dodgy to me.

Definitely report this!! They were pushing some deal on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. If you’ve already handed over your bank info, ring your bank straight away and get your card blocked. These scammers are out there everywhere now, even on Facebook Marketplace - it’s shocking how shameless they are trying to rip people off!!
