Some lady with an accent called claiming to be from BT, telling me my internet had been hacked. I told her I don’t even have a BT contract or a landline, but she kept going on about the internet issue. She tried to convince me by giving my address, so I cheekily asked her for her credit card details to prove she was legit. I picked up on my mobile, which runs through VoIP, and the only way I could get her off the line was by switching my phone off completely; otherwise, she just kept droning on.
