Got a recorded message from a woman saying my internet might be cut off straight away because there’s been some dodgy activity linked to my IHT address. It told me to press 1 to speak with a technician. Then, out of nowhere, a man jumped on the line telling me to be redirected. Total scam alert!

I reckon these people are just hackers trying to sneak into your router. Feels like the internet provider might be giving out our details without permission. I've already put in requests for someone to look into it properly.

A group of overseas hackers is lurking about. It’s crucial that you refrain from sharing any personal details with them, no matter the situation. They pose a serious threat, so make sure to block the number and report it without delay. Stay safe!

Got a recorded call claiming to be from TalkTalk’s tech team, warning that my internet would be cut off at midnight. They gave a few options to press different buttons on the phone. I just blocked the number straight away from my account.

I received a rather peculiar message on my voicemail from an auto-generated voice. It simply stated that there would be a deduction of £399.99 made from my bank account today. The caller didn’t identify themselves or provide any details, but urged me to ring a specific number to halt this alleged transaction. Quite bewildering, to say the least!

It seems this number belongs to a potential scammer. Unfortunately, due to my difficulty in hearing, I couldn't grasp much of what was being said, as the voice definitely didn’t sound English. It left me feeling rather unsettled, to be honest.

I got a voicemail from 01224390171, but it was one of those automated ones. Didn’t say what it was about, just mentioned I’d be charged £399.99 today and to call back that number if I wanted to cancel. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

Can someone explain how these idiots are calling from 01 landlines? It’s ridiculous. Which phone provider is giving them these numbers? They’re acting like they’re from Talk. Total nonsense!

Got a call on my home phone from some bloke with an accent, said he was called Tim or something. He started going on about my internet not working right and wanted me to turn on my PC so he could ‘sort it out’. I just told him to shove off, obviously a total scammer. These calls are driving me nuts and the phone preference service doesn’t seem to be doing a thing about them.

I got a call from a bloke saying he was from Virgin Media's tech support. When I asked what the problem was, he said my computer was getting hacked or something. I told him with my firewall and all, that’s not really possible and then ended the call. Definitely felt like a total scam to me.

As soon as my answerphone picked up, they just hung up. This is just another annoying call to add to the list. I’ve already had a couple more this morning, though they might not all be from the same number. And it’s only half eleven!

Honestly, I've tried being the polite and decent bloke here, but I'm running outta patience. So, "KATE" (if that’s even your real name), would you be so kind as to let me know the nicest way to tell you that you’re a right pain in the a##?

Got a voicemail from someone called 'Kate' who said she was from some computer tech firm. Yeah right, sounded like just another annoying scammer to me. The voice was all robotic, going on about 'Kate' this and that - like anyone would trust that!

I recently received a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be Kate, who insisted they were my internet provider for the past five years. She mentioned that they were planning to take £499 from my bank account. I was instructed to ring an 011...... number for further clarification. After hanging up, I promptly blacklisted that number. It's quite unsettling, particularly for those of us in our golden years! I truly wish measures could be taken to put an end to these nuisance calls.

there’s this lot from pakistan pretendin to be from british telecom or some computer fixers whatever you wanna call it just to scam you. when they call just give em a taste of their own medicine by ringin them back. stick 141 before their number so your number doesn’t show and keep ringin over and over. i found mobiles do the trick better than landlines. apparently they run with 3 lines comin in so you can really mess with them. they get proper mad when you do that!

On Easter Monday, I got a call from 01224 390171, with someone saying they were doing ‘computer maintenance’. When they asked "how are you today?", I said “worried,” and the woman quickly hung up. I rang them back and the line was still open, so I had a bit of fun shouting my thoughts at them. Honestly, I reckon everyone should ring them up (use 141 to keep your number private) and have a proper moan - give them a taste of their own medicine! Just so you know, the 01224 code is from Aberdeen and nearby places. Have fun!

I received a voicemail from some woman named 'Kate', who purported to represent a tech support firm we’ve supposedly been associated with for half a decade. She bizarrely asserted that she possessed our banking information and ominously announced they intended to withdraw a staggering £500,000 from our account. Quite the extraordinary claim, wouldn’t you say?
