A guy with a foreign accent rang me early on a Saturday, saying he was calling from “Microsoft in Reading,” claiming my computer had been taken over for some dodgy stuff. I told him straight up I wasn’t having any of it. He kept insisting he was legit and even got a bit shouty back at me. I ended the call, but he was quick to ring back two more times right away, which I ignored. I later saw he’d been using different numbers each time: first 01240785088, then 01208685742, and about an hour after that 01717147945. Total scam if you ask me.
