Got a recorded message saying it was Mastercard asking about a £600 payment made in the last 20 minutes and if I hadn’t authorised it, to press 1 to talk to fraud. I just hung up straight away and then rang them back on a different phone to be sure. Turned out to be a total con. I reckon if I’d pressed 1, it would’ve sent me to some expensive premium number and I’d be getting ripped off for a fortune by some scammer.
