I recently received a call that seemed to be from Vodafone, claiming they had a fantastic offer for me. They mentioned a £49 upfront payment in exchange for a promise of a 20% discount on my bill for the following year. It all sounded a bit too good to be true, if you ask me!

I got a call from this number but no one answered when I picked up. So I just ended the call. Seems like one of those random calls checking if your line is live and someone is there to answer.

They just called, said “hello” and then dropped the call. Seems like they’re hoping you ring them back. Feels dodgy, especially since I don’t know anyone from Aberdeenshire.

It was really fishy, because the moment I picked up, there was nothing but silence. Usually, I figure that’s a trick to get you to ring them back. So yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s one of those scams.
