I've just had a rather bothersome phone call regarding the renewal of my insurance for kitchen appliances. I refused to share any details and firmly sent her on her way. The number was 01224059341.

I picked up the call only to be greeted by someone jabbering away in what I thought was Hindi. Before I could catch my breath, he switched to English. He claimed to be representing Vodafone, but I could hardly make out what he was saying. When I asked him to clarify, he suddenly said he was from O2 instead! Clever attempt, but I've had enough—blocked without hesitation!

Received a call purporting to be from Vodafone concerning my account, but I noticed the caller was of Indian descent, and I could distinctly hear others conversing in Hindi in the background. When I declined to engage and labelled them as scammers, the conversation quickly soured.

Claims to be from O2, but my phone's alerting me that it's dodgy and potentially a scam. The chap on the line, from South East Asia, seems a bit clueless when it comes to speaking or grasping French or German.

They said they were calling from O2 to offer me a discount as a valued customer... except I don't have an O2 phone.... hung up when I pointed this out...
