I received a rather peculiar call from this number earlier today. A chap on the line bombarded me with a barrage of intrusive questions, quizzing me about the number of folks in my home, their names, and where our family usually takes holidays, among other things. It’s crystal clear this is a classic phishing attempt.

I got a call where they actually used my name and job title at work, saying they wanted to email me some security details. Pretty sure it was a ploy to trick me into clicking a dodgy link so they could get their hands on more private info.

I was really hoping to get some details about my recent trip, but they wouldn’t tell me anything they already had on file due to privacy rules. Before I could even figure out what exactly they wanted to sell me, they just ended the call. Such a letdown!

Funnily enough, I got a phone call recently from someone wanting to talk to a Miss Lana Del Rey, not sure if the number was the same or not though. Just the other day, another call came through asking for a Miss Kelly Clarkson. Both calls had a kind of Far East or Chinese accent, which was a bit unexpected.

Just the same nonsense as always. Said they were from Citizens Advice. When I asked if they ever get tired of people cutting them off, they usually hang up before I do. If by some chance they stick around, I tell them to find a proper job that actually helps folks instead of trying to scam them. Then I call them a bloody parasite. Honestly, it cheers me up a bit. They don’t seem to ring back afterwards.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who said he was calling from "Citizen's Debt Advice." He claimed they’d received some "legal papers" about me owing a big debt. While he was still on the line, I quickly searched the number on Google and told him I couldn’t find anything about his company, so there was no way I could trust him. Obviously, I ended the call then. Just before I hung up, he tried to get me to say how much I supposedly owed.

I picked up but there was this shady guy just repeating hello over and over while I didn't say a word... decided to search the number and yep, definitely a scam!
