Got hit by an EE scam call once more! Such a pain!

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from EE, offering a phone upgrade. I asked her how she could confirm that she was really from them, and she just went quiet. After I repeated the question, she muttered some address in Hatfield and responded with "because we are" - seriously, not very convincing! Total clowns. Absolute scam attempt to rip people off. I’ve blocked and reported them right away.

Some bloke called Raj says he’s from EE. He’s ringed me about 30 times this week alone. Every time I ask who he says I am or where he found my details, he just can’t answer. Whenever I hang up, he rings back straight away. I’ve blocked that number, but now he’s using another one to get through.

A call came through from an Asian lady, but I couldn't quite grasp what she was on about - something to do with twenty quid! Every time I tried to get her to clarify her identity, she abruptly hung up. Very peculiar!

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from EE, pushing phone and SIM deals. She was talking about a £9 unlimited SIM plan. They didn’t have any info about me and quickly tried to ask for my personal stuff, then moved on to requesting bank info. Feels like a total scam, best stay clear!

I got a call from a woman who had a really thick Asian accent, trying to sell me a 20% discount on my EE plan. It felt fishy because I chatted with EE just yesterday and they didn’t say anything about slashing my contract price. So yeah, I blocked the number straight away. Definitely seems like a dodgy call to me.

I got a call from this number and the person on the other end sounded quite pushy. When I asked if I could speak to a manager, pretending to be someone else, they got all worked up. They also called me by the wrong name and said something about my iPhone being at risk, which was odd since I actually use a Samsung S22.

Absolutely a dodgy operation - they claim to be from the EE Network, though that’s not even the right name of the company. When I probed them, they couldn’t provide any confirmation.

They said they were situated in Hatfield but couldn’t specify the county, which was a bit odd considering they were using a number from Aberdeen. It almost seemed like they didn’t have a clue where Aberdeen was!

I decided to ring back just to irritate them further, and they got really miffed before promptly blocking my number.

I’ve had a good few rather drawn-out conversations with this dubious individual purporting to represent the EE Network, though let’s be clear, that’s not their genuine name. They couldn’t verify any real particulars about EE whatsoever. Funny enough, they claimed to operate from Hatfield while ringing me from an Aberdeen area code. It’s a real laugh that they were utterly clueless about which county Hatfield resides in. Totally fraudulent! I provided them with a made-up email address, and the response was a shocked, “Are you having a laugh?” It was quite the entertaining exchange, to be honest. BE WARY - don’t divulge any of your actual information; this is a con through and through. However, if you’re feeling cheeky, have at it!

Pretending to be EE, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t true. Ended the call pretty quick before it could get anywhere near asking for bank details. Sounds like that’s where they were heading.

Had a rather suspicious call earlier, where the person claimed to be from EE, offering me some kind of promotional deal on iPhone 13. I was rather perplexed about who exactly they were, but I went along with the chat and even agreed to the offer, instructing them to dispatch the new phone to my address. However, when they requested my payment details and full address, I expressed my confusion, pointing out that as a loyal EE customer for over a decade, they surely had my information on record. I suggested they simply send me the phone and set up a direct debit from my account. When I pressed them further about their identity, they became quite evasive, and before I knew it, the line was disconnected. It’s clear to me now that it was nothing more than a scam attempt. Stay vigilant!
