Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from EE, offering a phone upgrade. I asked her how she could confirm that she was really from them, and she just went quiet. After I repeated the question, she muttered some address in Hatfield and responded with "because we are" - seriously, not very convincing! Total clowns. Absolute scam attempt to rip people off. I’ve blocked and reported them right away.

Some bloke called Raj says he’s from EE. He’s ringed me about 30 times this week alone. Every time I ask who he says I am or where he found my details, he just can’t answer. Whenever I hang up, he rings back straight away. I’ve blocked that number, but now he’s using another one to get through.

Got a call from an Asian lady, she was saying something about £20 but I couldn’t make out what she meant. I tried asking who she was, but she just hung up on me.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to be from EE, pushing phone and SIM deals. She was talking about a £9 unlimited SIM plan. They didn’t have any info about me and quickly tried to ask for my personal stuff, then moved on to requesting bank info. Feels like a total scam, best stay clear!

I got a call from a woman who had a really thick Asian accent, trying to sell me a 20% discount on my EE plan. It felt fishy because I chatted with EE just yesterday and they didn’t say anything about slashing my contract price. So yeah, I blocked the number straight away. Definitely seems like a dodgy call to me.

I got a call from this number and the person on the other end sounded quite pushy. When I asked if I could speak to a manager, pretending to be someone else, they got all worked up. They also called me by the wrong name and said something about my iPhone being at risk, which was odd since I actually use a Samsung S22.

Definitely felt like a scam to me - they claimed to be from EE Network but wouldn’t give me a proper company name when I asked. They said they were calling from Hatfield but couldn’t say which county it was in, even though the number showed as Aberdeen. I reckon they had no clue about Aberdeen at all. I called them back just to mess around a bit and they got pretty annoyed. Ended up blocking the number straight away.

I got into a few quite long phone conversations with someone pretending to be from EE Network - which isn’t the actual company name, by the way, and they couldn’t verify anything real about EE. They said they were based in Hatfield, yet the call came from a number registered in Aberdeen. It was funny how clueless they were about which county Hatfield’s in, totally fishy. I even gave them a made-up email, and the moment I did, she was like, “You’re joking, right?” Honestly, it was sort of entertaining. Seriously though, don’t share any genuine info with these lot, it’s definitely a scam. If you’re bored enough, go ahead and have a laugh at them.

Pretending to be EE, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t true. Ended the call pretty quick before it could get anywhere near asking for bank details. Sounds like that’s where they were heading.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from EE with a deal on the iPhone 13. I was a bit confused at first and tried to figure out who they really were. I said okay to the offer and told them to post the phone to my place. Then, they started asking me for my payment info and address again. I was like, why do you need that? I’ve been with EE for over a decade, surely you’ve got that on file. I said just send the phone and take the payment from my account as usual. When I asked who they really were and if this was some kind of scam, the call was abruptly ended. Pretty clear to me it was a dodgy scam trying to take the mick!
